Fujian Province enjoys a coastline of more than 3000 kilometres. There is a wide variety and a large quantity of biology resources in the sea area along the coast, among which over 400 kinds have economic value and more than 150 kinds can be processed and exported. The eel of Fujian Province accounts for 70% of the 230,000 tons of the world overall breeding quantity. Therefore, it is the world famous eel breeding base.
